Marlborough
Signs of History SM
In 1891, Marlborough, the port town in Stafford County, was laid off. Houses were built and the county court was held there for some years. The town did not develop. Nearby was the Indian town where pocahontas was sold in 1613 by the Indian Chief Japasaws to Captain Samuel Argall, 8 miles east.
